Self-Control
Give yourself to Jesus, for he cares for you...
It is important to have self-control in many situations. Self-control simple means a person ability, to hold back their thoughts and not express it any manner, they feel. In my opinion, it requires discipline. Not everyone and anyone can control themselves, from exploding whenever they feel like. Nevertheless, without Jesus in your live you cannot have self-control.

In fact, you might try in your own strength to have self-control, but then soon realize that you are acting out worst, than before. Why? Because you are trying to suppress a negative emotion on your own. It’s like you trying to command a spirit to leave and it will not. The Bible said ONLY at the name of Jesus can demons flee. So that’s why you can't learn self-control on your own.

I believe, it’s built up angry which causes people to explode on others. Another is un-forgiveness, and bitterness.  When you don’t forgive, you become bitter and then it turns into anger. As I read 2 Peter 1:3-10, “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters,[a] make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, 11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen

As I meditate on this passage, I thought why did talk about self-control. But I soon realize, to see God’s grace and mercies in your life you need it. It doesn’t matter how much you claimed to know or love the Lord, you need self-control. When certain storms arrive in your life, without self-control, you will go down in the storm. Self-control teaches us, when to speak and when not to speak. But if you cannot control yourself and feel you can do whatever and say whatever you feel, then you will reap the benefits of your lack of self- control.

I don’t know what situations, you are faced, with. But let and allow God to be in the midst. Allow yourself to let go and let God. None of us is perfect and none of us can control ourselves without God’s help.  We may try to, but fail to succeed only making things worst for ourselves. To have tranquility and peace, we need the presence of the Lord. Know that whatever you sow, that is what you will reap. I encourage you to spend some time with the Lord and see where you need to improve. Be blessed and let your hope be in Christ Jesus.
