A friend
Choose godly, friends.... |
Goodness
When God places goodly people in your life it’s a
blessings. It is important that when you walk away from your old life, that you
leave it behind. So as you begin to walk in the kingdom and trust in the Lord,
he will replace old friends with new one. Nevertheless, you must use wisdom and
choose carefully, who you let into your circle.
None of us is perfect. But when you are faithful,
God always places people in your path, who will help guide you, in his ways. Of
course you must test the spirit because we know that not everyone who called on
his name is of him. But when you do find a friend, who is of him, thank
him. A goodly friend gives you godly advice. They don’t just side with you
because they are your friend. They listen, and then they tell you their opinion.
But most importantly the go back to the scripture and make sure what they are
saying is lining up with the word of God.
How many of you can say that you have a friend like
that? A friend who display the quality of Jesus, that’s a true friend. For what
a friend we have in Jesus and the friend he put in your path. Beware that not
everyone around you is your friend. Some people laugh and talk with you, but
behind your back it’s another story. If you happen to keep finding yourself, in
“he said and she said,” examine yourself and surrounding.
If you claimed that you are following Christ, all
old things will pass away and everything becomes new. However, if you are finding
yourself in the same predicaments all
the time, then something is wrong. You have to assess the situation and ask the
Holy Spirit to help you close those doors.
The fruits of the spirit are, “love,
joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things
there is no law” (Galatians 5:22-23).Amen. Now if the friend(s) you are around is not displaying these qualities,
then you have a problem. We all have choices, to choose our friends. I am not
saying keep away from people, because in this word it is impossible, but we can
make a difference as to who we choose to share our personal information with. Be
blessed and choose wisely.
