Do you believe?

Acknowledge the presence of the Lord

Acknowledge
Yesterday, I wrote on the six steps to seeing God’s glory. The first step is to Acknowledge God. What does it means to acknowledge? According to the dictionary the word acknowledge means to accept or admit the existence or truth of. For believers, it conforms the Spirit of God, is present in our life. Those, who are not believers, would say that there is no God, but how can we say that when the Bible said he died and rose on the third day. Which other god rose from the dead?

God is a spirit and he is real. Point blank! The question one should answer is when they hear good thoughts in your mind (head), whom do you belief is speaking to you?  Most people are aware that anything bad comes from the devil. Therefore, it only makes sense that good thoughts comes from our heavenly Father, Jesus.  To fully understand Christ, you have to acknowledge him. As we read the scriptures it says, to “trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” (Prioverbs3:5). Meaning, if you truly trust in him, you would not lean on your own understanding of what if’s and why is (mindset) steer you down the wrong path or away from him. You would realize he is real, and allow yourself to accept his greatness.

The point of this is not to argue if God is real or not. I know he is, because I don't live by sight, but by faith. The question is, do you know him for yourself? Because if you do, you would realize that you cannot live without his existence.  Let’s look at Saul before he became Paul. Now we know he was very religious, and educated. We could considered him as being, Mr. I know all about the law. Yet, he prosecuted many of God’s people.  However, on the road to Damascus, a light came from heaven and flash in front of him and he fell on the ground and heard a voice that say, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?(Acts 9:4)”

Then he responded and said, Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked (Acts 9:5). Wow, I wonder, why he said, who are you, Lord. Lets put on our thinking cap, for a moment. Thinking! Well, in my opinion, even the devil, knows God when he sees him.  For many of us, it is not until our back is against the wall do we acknowledge God. For example, when you hear bad news or you bump your foot on something hard, the first you say is “o, my God”. So he is not real, huh? Are you thinking now? The Challenge for you today, is to put Christ to the test and ask him to reveal his true self to you. If you haven’t already accepted him as your Lord and Savior, I encourage you to invite him in.
Be blessed and always acknowledge him.
