Un-forgiveness
Jesus searches our Heart...
The word un-forgiveness, represent your unwillingness, to let things go. You may say that you have forgiven a person who has done you wrong, but you haven’t forgotten. The fact of the matter is if you haven’t forgotten the wrong, then you did not forgive the person.  When Christ says forgive, he means to forgive. It is impossible, for a person to say that they are obedient to the word of God and yet they are holding grudges, un-forgiveness, and other negative things in their heart.

It’s a fact that God doesn’t not see us for our outer appearance but he judge us by what is in our heart. Many people say they believe and trust in God. Yet, their heart is filled with flit. How do you expect him to bless you when you can’t even follow his instructions? One of his commandment is for you to love yourself as you love your neighbors. Your neighbors represents your children, spouse, co-workers, friends etc.

Suppose you did wrong, and no one knew, would you forgive yourself and ask God for forgiveness?  Would you tell yourself, self, I forgive you, but I will remember what you did? Of course not! Because it makes no sense to tell yourself you remember your wrongs. Likewise, when we ask God for forgiveness, he forgives us and he remembers our sins no more. Therefore, the question for you today is, are you holding un-forgiveness in your heart?

If you know that it is difficult for you to TRULY, forgives a person, tell it Jesus. When you are totally honest with God about what he instructs you to do it release blessing in your life. Honesty, with him takes away all the burdens and pain. For, when we tell him our difficulties, he can come in and make the necessary changes we need. That’s why we cast our burden unto to him. We give him all. Whether it is good or bad, he takes it.

None of us is perfect; we all have things we struggle with. Nevertheless, when you are totally honest with God about your struggles, he has a way of helping us to deal with it.   In Luke 7:36-50, it tells us about the story of the woman who washed Jesus feet with her tears and perfume.  Many of the Pharisees, who say what she was doing, were being judgmental to her because they knew she was a sinner. They fail to realize that she knew who can forgive her off  all her sins and washed her white as snow. As they sat there to condemn her, Jesus knew that he was going to make her new.

In my opinion, she was totally being honest with God, and that’s what matters. She did not worry about others, because she knew who she was, and she recognize, who can set her free. Like many of us, we know who we are, yet we fail to acknowledge our deepest struggles, to Christ. When we allow ourselves to be truly honest with God and give it all to him, it will cause the hands of God to work mighty in our life. The Lord appreciates what the woman was doing for him, because she kept it real. Since she was real and didn’t hide who she was, “Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”(Luke 7:48). Wow, hallelujah, how many of us long to hear those words. God has forgiving us, because he loves and his love is unconditional it holds no records of our sins.  What about you can you say that?  Can you say you have forgiven a person, with no strings attach?

I don’t know what you are holding on too, but search you heart and give everything to Jesus. Whether it is good or bad, he knows it all. Many times, it simple things like un-forgiveness, that cause us to miss our blessings. God is loving and merciful. We who believes and trust in him are like him. We cannot be like him and not display his fruits.  Never have we heard that God is unforgiving. We always hear that he forgives, he loves, he cares, he is kind, etc. Your challenge today, is to see your weakness and invited Christ to have full control and access of your heart. Then you will see your life being transformed.  Besides, what can you hide, when he see all things and know all things.  God is willing to deal with your struggles.
Be Blessed.
