Overcome
Winner
Brighter days are ahead.... |
“And David was greatly
distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the
people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David
encouraged himself in the Lord his God” (1 Samuel 30:6).
To win you
must be determined. To overcome you must preserve and to win, you must
overcome. I am sure some of you want to win some battles. But to winning is not
always easy. You will have to fight through prayers, fasting, and sometimes
planting a seed. Most importantly, you have to seek the Lord’s presence and his
advice. You cannot cry out to God and not listen to his instruction and
direction. When we cry out to God he always speak to us on how to resolve the
situation. If you are not obedient, you end up on the wrong path and many times
find yourself being discourage.
This is not
time to quit. It’s not time to sit and ponder about old mistakes but time to
rise up and be prepare to do whatever it takes to get your break through. Once
there was a story in the Bible when David and he men went out to fight a
battle, but when they return they found the homes burned to the ground. At
first David begin to cry and maybe question how he could he have encounter such
lost. When the men in his village promise to stone him, he cried out to the
Lord and the Lord instructed him what to do. As he was obedient to God advice
he went and recover all that’s was stolen. He even received more than he had
lost.
(Read story in 1 Samuel: 30).
Now you
might be in a similar situation, where you assumed you have lost everything and
you cannot recover. But don’t be fooled, just as David recovery, you can to. If
you are willing to cry out to God and be obedient to his direction. Listen,
there are times, I have to cry out to the Lord. I don’t stop until I see
changes and when I am discourage, I tend to remind myself about God promises
over my life. Like I am the head and not the tail, a lender and not a borrower,
or even I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthen me. It’s not every
day you are in mood to fight but when you are determined, you put emotions
behind and you focus on winning. You focus on the solution (Jesus). You being
to think of many different ways to get a break through and it is during those
very moments God will show you and make away. Whatever ever you are facing don’t
stop trusting in the Lord. Go back and seek his guidance and most of all be
obedient to his instructions. Be blessed.
