Keeping it real

Jesus wants to be your friend!
“Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer. 2 From the end of the earth I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I” (Psalm 61:1-2)Amen.

God is awesome and loving. But he loves when we keep things real with him and ourselves. Have you ever did something for someone, trusting them and then they let you down? How does it make you feel? You can sometimes get to the point where you want to tell them off. Yes or No! Yet, you might just end some or all communication with them because you hope they won’t cross your path.

Now, let’s think about how God feels when we stop trusting in him and disobey his rules. I am sure that he sometimes want to tell us off, but rather he humbly sit and await us coming before his throne, asking for forgiveness, which he ALWAYS gives. There are times we sometimes ask God, for something and he delays it. Yet we can become very frustrated and inpatient.

We may get upset with God and keep asking why and talking about the matter over and over because of frustration. But God said to wait on him, for our timing is not his and his timing is not ours. I have come to learn it is in those moment of frustration, is when you have to speak with God. You have to tell him how you feel, in so much word, letting him have the emotions that are built up inside of your heart. And many times, you soon realize you are feeling much better and before you know, he has answered your prayers. Keeping it real with God means that you will speak and can speak to him about everything and anything. Not just hiding your true feeling when you pray, but, letting it all out.

The Bible tells us there is nothing we can hide from God. So why even play the fool, going before him, like all is well and you are not! The devil is a liar, in Jesus name. When you go, go as though somebody just hurt you and you need justice NOW. To receive healing and to see the hands of God move in your life, you have to be aggressive and cry even louder. You have to get the attention of God. Letting him, know even though others are calling, you need his help as well and you will not stop calling to him until you get it. Never stop trusting in the Lord. He is forever faithful. Be blessed.
