My Father

 We are one
Let God's glory shine in you
Children are a blessing. And when we are God’s children we are a blessing. Have you ever notice, when you are a parent(s), how often you can see your behavior in your children. Whether positive or negative, it is there. You will notice that when you’re young child does something an older person will say “when you were younger, you used to do the same thing”. Many of the times our children are a representation of us.
And that’s why it is important for us to raise them up in the word of God.

Today, we who are God’s children must display his fruits. The question that needs to be answered is what does people say when the see us? Are they seeing children who are like their father? Are they seeing children who walk the walk and talk the talk? What is it that they are seeing? To say that you are a child of God and still continue to do wrong does not display his love.

There are times I just sit and look around and I notice people who always talking about God and then I see they are displaying something total contrary. Don’t get me wrong, none of us is perfect, including myself. Nevertheless, they are a difference between those who serve the Lord and those who do not. There is no way a person can whole heartily serve the Lord and their life is a mess!

We cannot say we serve God with one foot in and other one out. For God did say it is impossible to serve two masters. When you give your life to Christ Jesus, it’s a commitment to serve him. All old things have passed away and everything becomes new.  Serving God is not going to church on Sundays only and then you are partying Friday nights, and on another night you are at the casinos etc. No you are fooling yourself. It’s best you don’t come to Christ and wait until you are fully ready to be committed.

God loves when we are honest with ourselves and with him. When people looks at us are we displaying what Christ Jesus stand for. When we look at Jesus life story, we never heard of him partying, gossiping, jealous of others, or backing stabbing anyone. But we see a Father who loves and cares. He didn’t focus on himself, but he was focus on his mission and that is to save us. He came so that we may have life and life more abundantly.

The word for today is simple. What does others see when they look at you? Just a friendly reminder of what God fruits are, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law (Galatians 5:22-23). Amen. Now let’s search our heart and see if we are good representation of our Father, Jesus Christ. Today you might be reading this and  it is not to discourage you or to put you down, but rather to empower you to make a serious commitment to Christ, Jesus. For, he is the way, the truth, and light. Just don’t be double minded but have a sound solid mind in Christ Jesus. Be blessed.
