Standing
Promises of God
Trust in the Lord, at all times.... |
Despite your trials and
tribulations, you must learn to stand on the promises of God. We serve a great
and mighty God. There is none like him. He is the great high priest. He is the
one who can changes things when we pray and cry out to him. Just as the three
Hebrew boys went through the fire, so must we. Just as Job had lost everything
and God restore it all, so will God restore for us. What were they doing, that
God helped them? Well they were standing on the promises of God.
They trust in God,
despite what they were seeing, hearing and feeling. They didn't allow anything
or anyone to stop them from trusting that God will deliver them. Sometimes we
are standing on the promise of God, where he says he will never leave us or forsake
us. Or he is always with us, guiding and holding our hands. Yet, when we begin
to feel the intensity of our problems, we begin to question God.
We tend to question if
he is truly God or if he will do what he says. We must recognize that God is
not a man to promises and not fulfill. His words cannot return to him
void. We all have a red sea in our life. It takes faith and trust to
cross. Some people get to the edge of the sea. Some
get into the sea to cross. Some drown during the crossing and other perseveres
until the cross. Nevertheless, it doesn't matter what stage you are in you
MUST have faith to trust in God to bring you out. When you are in the storms,
it will be your faith which determines how you come out. It’s your faith which
will move the hands of God. It’s your faith which will give you the confident
to overcome and not give up until you have won.
Whatever is going in
your life, don’t look around. Don’t look to the left or right but look to
Jesus. Trust that he will make away when it seems to be no way. Trust that he
will do what he promises. The word of God say, “Whenever I am
afraid, I will trust in You. In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put
my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?(Psalm 56:3-4). “Blessed is
that man who makes the Lord his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such
as turn aside to lies” (Psalm 40:4). During your test, it’s
important to build and encourage yourself with the word of God. You have to
practice standing on the promises of God and never let go of your faith to
trust in him. Remember, God does not give to you what you cannot
handle. Keep your hope alive and continue to stand on his promises. Be Blessed.
