Rejection
Elevate
Trust in the Lord...... |
“Is
this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas,
and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” So they were offended at
Him.4 But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own
country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.” 5 Now He could do no
mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and
healed them. 6 And He marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about
the villages in a circuit, teaching”.(Mark 6:3-5)
There are times when you feel rejected by men and it
hurts. But that’s when you know God has something better in store for you.
Sometimes, you question yourself because you think people would be happy that
you are elevating, but then it hits you like ton of bricks, that they are truly
not happy. That’s why it is important for you to have your faith, trust and
hope in the Lord at all times. For he will never leave, you or forsake.
Yesterday, I was listening to a Christian radio
program in my car. I didn’t hear to program from the beginning, but the women
said, rejection should cause us to elevate. She said when people reject us it’s
not because we are a bad person, but it can simple mean that we are too great for
them. What God has in store for us, they just don’t have the capacity to handle
it and that’s why they reject us.
As I thought about it, it’s true. I reflected back
to Jesus when he went to his home town to bless his people and they rejected
him, and he was unable to perform any miracle there. All they saw was the carpenter’s
son. They didn’t see the opportunity to be blessed. They didn’t see that today
was their day to be set free. My friends it is the same for those of us who are
in Christ Jesus. People don’t see that we are a blessing, they only see the old
us. But there a true saying that there is no condemnation for those who are in
Christ Jesus.
Don’t allow rejection from others doubt your faith to
trust in the Lord. Don’t let the negative reports of others stop you from
seeing God’s goodness, in your life. People would say what they want but you
know who you are in Christ Jesus and once he is for you who can be against you?
Don’t stop doing good, for others. Don’t stop communicating with God. It’s only
his report that’s matter! See rejection as a way to elevate into who Christ
wants you to be. Remember God always loves you and will always protect those
who are trusting in him. Be blessed.
