Imperfection
Perfect
Perfectness is in the eyes of God…
|
Everyone is perfect in his or her own way. We all do things in way, we each feels is
good. However, what we may thing is good, another find faults. Or we ourselves,
sometimes thinks we do things better than someone else. Our eyes are quick to
find faults and point out the mistakes of others. Yet, we cannot see our own
faults. However, we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
For it is a fact, that none of us is perfect, it is ONLY
God, who is, the perfect man. He is blameless and spotless. We can try our best
to do thing the correct way, yet there will always be mistakes. When you are
rigid, and believe that everything has to be your way or the highway. Then, you
will be on that highway by yourself. In order for God to use us, we must decrease,
so that he may increase.
We have to get rid of our ways and allow him to use
us, where he sees fits. If you only see thing through a “tunnel vision” of your
eyes, then all you see is a person faults and you leave no room, to see their strengths.
When we look at Christ, Jesus we always see that he was around those who needed
help, and a word of encouragement. He looked beyond our faults and saw our
needs.
In today, times, had he been a therapist, I would
could considered him to be a therapist who works from the Strength Perspective.
God is always looking to uses us. He looks at what is good and tries to bring
it out of us. As a matter of fact, when
he created us, he said, “we are good”.
Amen. Maybe you have being looking at someone the wrong way. Or someone has
being look at you wrongly. But recognize none of us is perfect. You can spend
years trying to be a “perfectionist”
and somewhere or somehow another will find or see faults in your work.
Decrease your ability and allow God to increase his.
This way all that you do, will be perfect in his eyes. You will be able to help
others because you no longer see their faults, but you see their needs. We all
try our best. Let’s encourage each other, instead of putt each other down, by
point out faults and mistakes. Every man does according to his own ability. The Bible
said, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you
judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be
measured to you. “Why
do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention
to the plank in your own eye?4 How
can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all
the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own
eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
(Mathew 7:1-5). Amen
Remember none of us is perfect. As saying goes don’t
throw rock at others house when you live in a glass house. I have faults as well,
but daily I allow, God to turn my faults around. I pray that others may not see
my faults, but see Christ. Likewise, I ask God daily, to see the needs of
others and not their faults. Look, we are all work in progress, but, let us
work together and do thing Christ way.
Be blessed.
