Road
Blockage
Follow the Lord's instruction and not your own.... |
Blockage is when a person is unable to accomplish a task
because of obstacles in their way. For example, if you are a driver, you know
how frustrating it can become, when there are roadblocks and it is also a
construction zone site. You have to follow the speed limits, and drive with
caution. Nevertheless, if you fail to follow the instructions, while driving in
can be fatal. And so it is in the
kingdom of God. Instruction, obedience, and wiliness to God, can lead you to
many discoveries about yourself and others.
However, there are times, when we who are believes find
ourselves in many roadblocks, it seems. We are praying fasting, and doing what’s
right. Yet, it appears that we are stagnant. But the devil is a liar, in Jesus
name. Obedience is one of the key to success. We must be aggressive and fight
for what we want. When God make a
promise, it must and will come to pass because he is not a man to promise and
not fulfill. In fact, the bible reassures that his yes is yes with an Amen. The question is how do we get pass these
roadblocks?
You must believe and trust in the Great I am and know he is
working on your behalf. When we look at the children of Israel, we know that God
promised they would enter in the land flowing with milk and honey. However,
they were faced with an obstacle. There obstacles was the “Wall of Jericho”.
Which many of us are facing some walls of Jericho, whether it is in your
health, home, work place, children, finances, it is a walls of obstacles. But
just as the wall of Jericho came down, so will your walls, if you are obedient to the word of God.
How does the Lord speak to us? Well, he speaks to everyone differently.
He might tell you to fast, and me to pray and another to plant a seed, etc. But
however, he speaks; we are to follow his words and directions. In Joshua 6, we
see that the Lord instructed the people and they were successful. "Then
the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have delivered Jericho into
your hands, along with its king and its fighting men.3 March around the city
once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. 4 Have seven priests carry
trumpets of rams’ horns in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march
around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. 5 When you hear them sound
a long blast on the trumpets, have the whole army give a loud shout; then
the wall of the city will collapse and the army will go up, everyone straight
in" (Joshua 6:2-5). Amen.
First he told them what he will happen, then he give them instruction,
which they must follow. As you continue to read the story the wall of Jericho
came down. Why? Because they were obedient! They did not take away on add any
of their own words, but they
followed God’s instruction to point of victory. There are times, we are faced
with roadblocks and we fail to
follow the instruction God is giving. Many times we are too busy worrying about
the situation or speaking to others who cannot help us, when God specially,
told us what to do to have victory.
Not all the time, it’s the devil. Many times, it’s we,
ourselves who cause blockages because of disobedience. We don’t think what
God said it correct. Or the Lord may use the man or woman of God to bring the
word to us and we feel s/he is not qualified and the list can be endless. At
the end of the day, what God say is always right because he knows, what will
happen before it happens. Today you might be facing a battle, but you need to check-in
with Christ to make sure you are following his direction. The only way you can
get around or bypass any roadblocks is if you are OBEDIENT. Nevertheless, when you are obedient and faithful, ALL walls must come down, in Jesus
name. Amen
Be Blessed.
