Love in Your Family

Love is not a condition in our Family, but a Must!!!!
I love you as Christ do
Many times it is hard to genuinely love our family members. The word of God teaches us to love because He says it covers a multitude of sins. But seriously, it is easier said than done. Have you ever tried to love your family and experience rejection? And you ask yourself what is the point. Don’t be upset with yourself. I have been there, but the word of God always brings me back to His grace and mercy.
How many times do we question God when our eyes lies that our family members are not changing. The Lord led me to this passage in John 8:7 which states “When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”  This was a story where the Pharisees, brought a woman before God because she committed a sin and they want to know what Jesus has to say. Back then, the law specify, any woman caught in sin should be stoned.
Yet, Jesus said nothing to offend the woman. He politely said, he without sin cast the first stone. I thought about this passages and it brought a new revelation to me about what it takes to love your family. Ask yourself this, when you pray to God about your family what are you saying? I remember going to God and I would say Lord, do you see what they are doing? Not realizing that it is not them, but the spirits of wickedness.  For it is true of the word of God, that says, we fight not against flesh but spiritual wickedness in high places.
The Lord said remember when you were like your family members. Did I allow anyone to stone you? I was amaze because it is true. Many times we are praying for our family but when the attacks come, we get defensive and want God to see what they are doing? But He says, He knows. Nevertheless, we need to have grace to show love and understanding to them.
For His grace through the blood forgive them and that what we need to do. For through His grace, we can embark to love our family unconditionally. We can look beyond their faults and see their needs. Think of it this way, if you knew that your child(ren) was going to gave you problems when they grew up, you would have asked God to take them before they were born. Instead you saw greatness in them, but somewhere along the road, the enemies met them and they got off track.
The love and grace of God teaches us to forgive. Your job is to continue to pray for them. Look beyond their issues and problems, and to not look, or point out their faults. Recognize that God is able and is working things out. Your goal is to stay focus and keep praying despite, what you see, think feel or know. Only God knows how to fix and make changes.
Prayer: Dear I thank you for helping me to love my family. I thank you for helping me to not point out their faults, look at their wrongs or right, but to trust in you. May your will be done in Jesus name. Amen. Be blessed.
For you and family, from Christ Jesus
