The Race
Winning
Trust in the Lord, at all times! |
“4 Do you not know that
those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way
that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate
in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable
crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one
who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection,
lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified” (1
Corinthians 9:24-27).
Everyone
wants to win. But is not how you start, it’s how you finish. Some people begin
strong in faith, then in middle the quit. Others keep going despite what they
see and overcome. Some just never start. In order to succeed in this world, you
have to be determined. You need God as your advisor and director. You need to
be in faith at all times, in and out of season, despite how you feel, thinking,
and know. It not always about coming in
first, it’s about your endurance to withstand your trials and tribulations,
knowing that each one is causing your faith to grow and is taken you closer to
your mountain top blessings.
Nothing
comes easy. You have to fight to win. No country wins their independence, without
first fighting the battle, and so it is with you and me. We have to fight, through
prayers. We have to be determined through our faith. We have to be encouraged
and persistent through the word of God. We must be obedient to the word of God
and most important seek his guidance, presence and acknowledge him at all
times.
Whatever you
are facing today, know that nothing is too hard or impossible for God. Renew
your faith and hope in him. Know that he will always make away when it seems to
be no way! POINT BLANK! If you start the race, be encouraged and finish. If you
didn't start, I encourage you to begin. If you a have won, continue to trust in
the Lord at all times, because there more blessings waiting. Don’t speak defeat to yourself. Don’t accept
defeat. Don’t listen to the naysayers. Just listen to the voice of the Lord,
and which say your days are brighter than before. Be blessed.
