The Race

 Winning
Trust in the Lord, at all times!
“4 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified” (1 Corinthians 9:24-27).

Everyone wants to win. But is not how you start, it’s how you finish. Some people begin strong in faith, then in middle the quit. Others keep going despite what they see and overcome. Some just never start. In order to succeed in this world, you have to be determined. You need God as your advisor and director. You need to be in faith at all times, in and out of season, despite how you feel, thinking, and know.  It not always about coming in first, it’s about your endurance to withstand your trials and tribulations, knowing that each one is causing your faith to grow and is taken you closer to your mountain top blessings.

Nothing comes easy. You have to fight to win. No country wins their independence, without first fighting the battle, and so it is with you and me. We have to fight, through prayers. We have to be determined through our faith. We have to be encouraged and persistent through the word of God. We must be obedient to the word of God and most important seek his guidance, presence and acknowledge him at all times.  


Whatever you are facing today, know that nothing is too hard or impossible for God. Renew your faith and hope in him. Know that he will always make away when it seems to be no way! POINT BLANK! If you start the race, be encouraged and finish. If you didn't start, I encourage you to begin. If you a have won, continue to trust in the Lord at all times, because there more blessings waiting.  Don’t speak defeat to yourself. Don’t accept defeat. Don’t listen to the naysayers. Just listen to the voice of the Lord, and which say your days are brighter than before. Be blessed.

What is self-care? When we think of self-care, we usually think of a vacation, going to the spa, shopping, or spending time alone. This can be true, but how do you care for yourself when you constantly put everything and everyone in front of you? Whether it is your spouse, family, children, friends, work, etc. Some people consider self-care selfish, but no one will care for you if you don’t care for yourself. There was a time when I cared for everyone, expecting myself. Don’t get me wrong, I still care for others, but I ensure self-care first. Create in me a clean heart Lord Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations.2 Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God (Psalm 90:1-2). There is no body like Jesus. My friends every day we must make it our business to connected to God. We have to make sure that our heart is clean and righteous before Him. The days are becoming shorter and shorter and at any moment God can come. The question we must answered, is our priority in order? I don’t know about you but I want to make sure my heart is clean every day before the Lord. I want the Lord to create a clean heart and renew His spirit within me. Relax, Jesus is with you! Despite how things are currently looking, don’t through in the towel, just hold on. Help is on its way. God is an amazing God who never ceases to stop helping and guiding us, once we keep our part to trust and acknowledge him. Sometimes as I sit and look at situation in my life and around me, I cannot stop thanking the Lord because I know he is my defender. For I acknowledge that none of the battles I face is mines, but the Lord.  Beauty Patience is truly divine, when you are waiting on the Lord. The beauty about patience, is when your complete trust is in the Lord, alone you know that he will always rescue you, despite, what your natural eyes is seeing. Sometimes, while waiting the time seems like it’s not moving and other times it is moving too fast. Nevertheless, God is always on time. Today, I give God praise because he did not give to me, my blessings when I thought I need it. Rather it was on his time.     In life, you will experience many disappointments. But the one person you cannot afford to disappoint is yourself. When everyone has let you down, you must learn to encourage yourself. What does disappointment look like? Be BOLD in Christ, Jesus! “And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word” (Acts 4:29). God is amazing and his love for us endures forever. There are times when situation arise in our life and we must confront it immediately. Don’t wait to assess it rather nip in the roots ASAP before it grows and become a tree. How many of you could recall that when you were in the world you were bold. The minute anyone looks at you the wrong way, you were ready to cut them up with either a look or words. Yes, I raised my hands. Some of you might still be that way, but when the enemy sends trouble your way, your mouth is closed.
