Feelings
Don’t
live by it.
Lord, our trust is in you..... |
It’s just amazing that when you are a Believer you
don’t live by feelings, but, rather you live by faith. The word of God encourages us that we must trust in the Lord, at all times. We know that faith is the
substances of things hope for and the evidence of things not yet seen. Nevertheless,
they are times, when you don’t feel quite like yourself. You find yourself, not
wanting to do anything, not praying, can’t sleep and the list goes on. However,
when you find yourself this way it not time to give into your feelings or
emotions, it is time to PRAY and sometimes fast.
It’s not every day you are going to feel jolly and
excited about your life. But when you know the powers of Jesus and the price he
has paid for your freedom, you can face tomorrow and any situation that arises.
You don’t have to give in or give up to the negative voices of the enemy, but
press forward knowing that God is fighting with you. Just remember that some
battles, tests your faith to trust, believe, and wait on the Lord. For, the
Lord does not give to us what we cannot handle or bear. And if you are going
through the fire, today, know you can handle it. I must also remind myself.
Deliver me from my enemies, O God; be my
fortress against those who are attacking me.2 Deliver me from evildoers and
save me from those who are after my blood. 3 See how they lie in wait for me! Fierce
men conspire against me for no offense or sin of mine, Lord. 4 I have done no
wrong, yet they are ready to attack me. Arise to help me; look on my plight! 5
You, Lord God Almighty, you who are the God of Israel, rouse yourself to punish
all the nations; show no mercy to wicked traitors………..[c] But
I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you
are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. 17 You are my strength, I sing
praise to you; you, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely. (Psalms
59: 1-5, 16-17). Amen
Don’t let the issues of life burden you down or
stress you out. Let your hope and trust be in the Lord. Just has he delivered
others, he will deliver you. It’s just a matter of time before he comes to your
rescue. As you are feeling the pressure of life, continue to worship and pray. Don’t
allow your feelings to derail you or stop you from trusting in the Great I Am,
Jesus. Nothing is too big or too small for him to handle. Keep trusting, keep
standing, and know that you are never alone. Be encouraged and be blessed.
